You might be a great fit if —

Every couple is different, and I don't think one photographer is right for everyone. Here's who tends to feel most at home working with me:

  • You want photos that feel genuinely like you — not curated, not staged.

You've scrolled enough Pinterest boards to know that's not what you're after.

  • You describe yourselves as awkward on camera — or just not "photo people."

This is honestly my favorite kind of couple. My approach is designed for exactly this.

  • You want your photographer to actually know you before the wedding day.

I get to know the couples I work with — how you move together, what makes you laugh, who your people are. That's not a formality. It's how the photos turn out the way they do.

  • You care more about the feeling in the room than a perfect shot list.

The in-between moments, the real reactions, the stuff that just happened — that's what I'm watching for.

  • You want someone in your corner through the whole engagement season — not just on the day.

I'm not just there to deliver photos. I want you to feel supported from the moment you book.

Still tearing up at ceremonies after a decade of doing this.

I'm Megan — Columbia local, wife, and the photographer quietly crying happy tears in the corner of your ceremony.

I've spent over ten years photographing weddings across Missouri and beyond. But the thing that's stayed consistent from the beginning is this: I genuinely care about the people I work with. Not just on the wedding day — through the whole engagement season. You're not a booking to me. You're a couple I genuinely want to know.

That's not just a nice thing to say. It's why the photos turn out the way they do.

Questions couples usually ask

Do you still have 2026 and 2027 dates available?

Yes — I have select dates open in both 2026 and 2027. The best way to find out if yours is still available is to reach out directly. I'll respond within 24–48 hours.

We're honestly pretty awkward on camera. Is that going to be a problem?

It's really not — and I mean that. My whole approach is built around taking the pressure off. I give you prompts and natural movement, not stiff poses. And because we'll have spent time getting to know each other before your wedding day, you won't be performing for a stranger. You'll just be you.

Do you pose couples at all, or is it entirely candid?

A little of both — in the best way. I give you prompts and movement, not stiff directions. Think "walk toward the light together" rather than "chin down, shoulders back." The goal is always to create something that feels natural, not staged.

What does getting to know us before the wedding actually look like?

Usually a relaxed call or coffee — virtual or in person, whatever works for you. I ask about how you met, what your day is going to feel like, what your family dynamic is, what makes you two laugh. It's not an interview. It's just a real conversation that makes me a much better photographer on your wedding day.

Do you serve areas outside of Columbia, MO?

Yes — I photograph weddings across Missouri and love destination work too. Travel fees vary based on location, so reach out and we'll figure out the details together.

What happens after I reach out?

I'll get back to you within 24–48 hours to confirm your date and set up a quick intro call. No pressure, no pitch — just a conversation to make sure we're a good fit for each other.
