About Megan Larson Photography

With a relaxed approach and an emphasis on helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera, I specialize in wedding photography that blends artistically candid imagery with the classic portraits your parents will frame on their mantel for years to come.

Your wedding day is full of details and moments you know you’ll want be able to look back on: the florals and decor you so intentionally invested in, the moment you and your love see each other for the first time, your parents’ expressions as you say your vows. My commitment as a wedding photographer is to document these special moments as naturally and timelessly as possible, and be the perfect blend of photographing the day as it naturally unfolds while stepping in to direct when needed.

NATURAL. CANDID. WARM. NOSTALGIC.

The Style

Natural colors with a bit of warmth. A blend of candid, unposed moments + intentionally posed and directed photos where we slow down, adjusting hair and clothes as needed.

A big emphasis on helping you feel comfortable and good on camera. Before wedding day, you’ll have the opportunity to share any fears or insecurities for me to be mindful of as I photograph the day.

The Story

To be honest, I grew up not feeling ā€œgood enoughā€ to be on camera and not feeling truly known or seen by people. This is why I care so deeply about serving couples through photography. It feels like my opportunity to show them the beauty in their life, tell them their story deserves to be photographed, and know them for who they really are.

Behind

the lens

I’M MEGAN — AN ENNEAGRAM 4, AVID LORD OF THE RINGS FAN, COFFEE AND RED WINE ENTHUSIAST, AND ASPIRING MORNING PERSON.

Whether it’s a senior portrait session, engagement, or wedding, I love getting to find the beauty in each person and working collaboratively with them to bring it out in the photos. I have a laid-back personality, and I like to bring that into the photography experience. With careful planning and communication, photography should feel the very opposite of stressful.

A Few of My Favorite Things

First, of course, my husband Tanner. He is hands down my best friend, the funniest person ever, and an intentional and deep friend to so many people.

Mountain landscape with dramatic peaks, green slopes, and cloud cover.

Traveling. Most recently, we traveled all over Italy for two weeks. The Dolomites and Florence were our top two favorite locations!

Our community of friends. If I’m not working or traveling, you’ll more than likely find me spending my free time with these amazing humans.
