Micro-Wedding in Ha Ha Tonka State Park

Kassidy’s love for Germany began in 2014 after she visited “Germany” in Disney’s Epcot. Little did she know, her love for Germany would one day grow even deeper— once she met Kevin.

Kassidy met Kevin in 2016 on a language-teaching app called “HelloTalk” where a user from one country can talk to a native speaker from another. The two became friends quickly, and began dating long-distance soon after. The couple spent the next six years flying back and forth from Germany to America, or vice versa. Around Christmas time in 2020, Kassidy and Kevin got engaged! Kevin proposed at Ortenberg Castle in Ortenburg Germany. The two celebrated her “yes!” as the sun set on Strasbourg France in the distance.

Kassidy and Kevin settled for a micro-wedding— a small, intimate ceremony on March 18th, 2022 at an Airbnb in Camdenton, Missouri. Their reception included Kassidy’s parents and four sisters, and Kevin's family joining from Germany through a livestream. Afterwards, the newly married couple got to talk to Kevin’s family through zoom and celebrate their marriage!

They followed their reception with pictures at Ha Ha Tonka state park outside at the castle ruins, and ended the session by cutting their wedding cake under Ha Ha Tonka's natural bridge.
