Stone House of St. Charles | Megan & Mike’s Lord of the Rings Themed Wedding
Stone House of St. Charles Wedding
I first connected with Megan and Mike during their engagement session, where we immediately bonded over our shared love for all things Lord of the Rings. Between this and their easy-going, fun personalities, I knew their September wedding at Stone House of St. Charles would be something truly special.
The morning was filled with friends and family gathered around the bride and groom-to-be, enjoying breakfast together, helping each other with hair and makeup and pinning each other’s boutonnieres. What I love about this amazing couple is how they intentionally planned their wedding day to reflect what was important to them while keeping the most important aspect at the center: their love for each other.
Now, I do also need to add that I was impressed how committed BOTH of them were to the vision for a Lord of the Rings themed wedding. The couple couldn’t have chosen a more perfect St. Louis venue for the theme. Between the rustic stone architecture and lush surroundings, the Stone House of St. Charles was a stunning backdrop for all the Middle Earth wedding charm.
Mike, an avid woodworker, crafted beautiful wooden centerpieces for each table, meticulously etching them with names of iconic Lord of the Rings locations like Rivendell, Hobbiton, and Gondor. And yes, you do need to scroll down to check these out!
The couple's thoughtfulness also extended to the meaningful gifts they exchanged with each other and shared with family and friends. Throughout the day, their deep love for one another was palpable in every moment, from their heartfelt vows to their first dance.
